I long for freedom from this earthly tent,
From the corruption of the flesh & sins stench.
To do that only what pleases my Lord,
Than struggle with the enemy & his evil chord.
A place where I would never hurt or fail Christ,
Or have to make a choice between wrong & right.
And not have to confess my lust & heart’s folly,
But a place where I will always behold his glory.
To be away from the roar of the evil lion & its mane,
Prowling around to devour his only prey a Lord’s saint.
May the power of the holy blood take away the stink,
Of many a sin that so easily entangle in an eye’s blink.
Lord I beseech you to lend help in my weak moment,
Before the temptation is full grown starting its torment.
Help me to live in your Spirit & in victory day after day,Knowing it is for me the blood you shed & the life you lay
